Each device correctly and accurately captures your biodata. The difference is due to a number of variables that can impact a measurement, including the position of the device, the location (wrist or finger, left or right), differences in sensors, ambient temperature and humidity, etc.
- Different results for Stress measurement between BioSense Ring and a wrist wearable:
The optical sensor of BioSense Ring collects 20 seconds raw PPG data from the user’s finger to calculate heartrate and heartrate variability. These two parameters are combined to calculate a stress measurement. The ring wearing position (wrist vs finger; inner side of the finger is best), PPG sensor, and sample rate are different from LifeWatch Generation 2 or BioSense health band, which is why data collected by the ring may be different from data collected from the wrist by a second wearable.
