How does the Sleep Disturbances feature work and where do I find it?
Sleep Disturbances are times during sleep when you wake up, often without realizing it. It’s your body’s way of helping you breathe normally again. When sleep disturbances occur, your heart reacts in ways that can be detected, including an increased heart rate and changes to heart rate variability (HRV).
Your Vyvo Device automatically monitors changes in Heart Rate Variability (HRV) to detect how often, per hour, you had Sleep Disturbances incidents during the night.
The results can be found within the Sleep section of the Vyvo Smart App.
How can I check the Sleep Disturbances feature results?
1. Open the App.
2. Navigate to the Data page and open the Sleep section.
3. Scroll down until you find the Sleep Disturbances block. Click on the “Calculate” button to visualize the results.
Repeat this process every day to calculate and check new results.
What are the levels of sleep disturbances and what do they mean?
Low: At this level, fewer than 15 Sleep Disturbances events occur per hour of sleep. Although considered a mild form of Sleep Disturbances, there is still significant disruption to breathing during sleep. Associated impacts, such as snoring, daytime sleepiness, and concentration problems, can be mild.
Moderate: At this level, there are between 15 and 30 Sleep Disturbances events per hour of sleep. Moderate Sleep Disturbances indicates a more frequent interruption of the breathing pattern during sleep. Associated concerns, such as loud snoring, excessive daytime sleepiness, lack of energy, and difficulty concentrating, tend to be more pronounced.
High: At this level, more than 30 Sleep Disturbances occur per hour of sleep. Sleep Disturbances high implies a frequent and significant interruption of breathing during sleep. Symptoms are often more severe and can include loud snoring, severe daytime sleepiness, extreme fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, mood swings, and possible general health complications.
