What is the Guardian feature and how does it work?
The Guardian feature of the Vyvo devices detects if your health metrics exceed the normal range and alerts you when this happens, as you could be dealing with a serious situation.
Vyvo device sensors can detect if you fall and provide your emergency contacts with information in the event you cannot inform them yourself. It can also share your last known GPS position and send your contacts this information.
The Guardian feature is available on:
Does the Guardian feature stop when using Sport mode?
Yes, the Guardian feature is suspended during exercise.
During exercise you often intentionally exceed your normal health metrics, like heart rate and breath rate. At such times, visible and audible Guardian alerts are undesirable. To prevent these interruptions, Vyvo has updated Guardian programming so that when you start a sport activity, these alerts are suspended (except for fall detection).
What is the SOS feature and how does it work?
Vyvo device sensors can detect if you fall with the Guardian feature and provides your emergency contacts with information thanks to the SOS feature. It is set to send messages to your contacts in case of emergencies or panic situations, informing them about your emergency situation and exact GPS location.
Please note: The service requires a Smartphone with an internet connection to be within not more than 20 meters or 65 feet from the device. The service is limited to 6 SMS a day.
