A normal oxygen saturation level (SpO₂) for adults and children is 95% to 100%. Below 95% is considered to be abnormal, even though people over 70 years of age may normally have an oxygen level close to 95%.
Can my oxygen saturation level be affected by external factors?
Many factors affect oxygen saturation level, including low body perfusion, excessive arm hair, tattoo, arm sag, arms sway, wearing the device skewed, or low temperature. When these factors occur, the results of the SpO₂ feature may be inaccurate or even undetectable.
